The air outside is not the only air you breathe. The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District also cares about your air quality, indoors.
People spend an average of 80 percent of their time indoors. Air quality indoors is affected not only by periodic contaminants, such as smoke from wood burning, but factors such as paint fumes, substances used to manufacture carpet and furnishings, pets, dust and mold. If you or someone in your family has allergies or asthma, these factors can exacerbate their condition.
