The
Clean Air Primer is licensed for use on the San Joaquin Valley Air
Pollution Control District website. The primary mission of the San
Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District is to improve the
health and quality of life for all Valley residents through cooperative
and effective air quality programs. The San Joaquin Valley Air Basin
is approximately 250 miles long and is shaped like a narrow bowl,
and includes the Northern portion of the District (San Joaquin,
Stanislaus, and Merced Counties), the Central region (Fresno, Madera
and Kings Counties), and the Valley portion of Kern and Tulare Counties.
Over 3 million people live here and the air quality is among the
poorest in California.
With
resources like the Clean Air Primer we can encourage improvement
of our personal actions and taking responsibility to do something
every day to spare the air.
We are very serious about concentrating on environmental programs
because of their importance to our future. As we strive to make
a positive difference in people's lives through service and interactive
media-rich projects, we will ensure that educational presentation
materials reach diverse groups, regardless of socio-economic background.
We welcome working with public agencies, other companies, foundations,
youth development agencies, and NGO's who share this mission.
