Have a car that won’t pass smog because of an emissions related problem?

The District offers a FREE car emissions test at Tune In, Tune Up events throughout the San Joaquin Valley. These free Saturday events occur in various locations throughout the Valley all year long. Check back as new events will be added for later in 2018.

Incentives

The San Joaquin Valley is home to a large number of older cars, many of which do not meet state emissions standards. Tune In & Tune Up helps vehicle owners take voluntary action to improve air quality by subsidizing expensive smog repairs.

Vehicle Repairs

The vehicles that are found to be repairable will receive a voucher for free repairs at a participating STAR Test and Repair station. Repairs can only be completed at participating smog shops.

If you are a San Joaquin Valley resident and you think your vehicle is in need of smog related repairs, bring it to the next scheduled Tune In & Tune Up in your area for a free emissions test.

Statewide Scrappage Program
