Program Overview

This program will provide incentives to replace heavy-duty off-road mobile equipment used in construction and other non-agricultural services. Equipment must be in compliance with the state of California In-Use Off-Road Diesel Vehicle Regulation to be eligible for funding.

Incentive

Projects will be funded based on a dollar per horsepower basis, based on the advertised horsepower of the engine in the new replacement equipment, not to exceed 80% of eligible costs.

Eligibility

Existing equipment must be mobile, self-propelled, off-road equipment with a diesel engine rated at 25 horsepower or greater.
Have been owned and operated in California for the past 24 months.
Operate at least 75% of the annual hours in California and at least 50% in the SJVAPCD boundaries.
Replacement equipment must have an engine meeting the most recent Model Year California emission standard.
Be in compliance with the In-Use Off-Road Diesel Vehicle Regulation with at least:

3 years before next compliance date for large and medium fleets.
2 years before next compliance date for small fleets.
